Using Distress Blender Brush for the First Time

Hello all,

From the moment I saw the Tim Holtz Distress Blender Brush being demonstrated, I knew I needed them!  It took me a while to lay my hands on them but I got them now!  I started my card with a stencil in the May 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit and taped it to Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Card Stock.  Using three colors of Distress Oxide Inks (Peeled Paint, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover) I dabbed, pounced and brushed with my new brush and it was awesome (imagine me singing that last word)!  Stenciling with ink hasn't been a fav of mine - Not Anymore-love those brushes!  After I removed the stencil, I added stamped leaves in those same three colors.  Then I stamped (from the May Kit) the swinging boy in Tuxedo Black Ink and the sentiment with VersaMark Ink on black card stock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

To pull my card together, I die cut the sentiment with Stitched Rectangle Die but realized it was too large.  So I trimmed the top and bottom off and used foam mounting tape for dimension.  I added sequins with Ranger Multi Matte Medium. Then for a bit more detail, I added leaf doodles with a Stardust Gel Pen.  All of this mounted onto my card base.
Have a great day and keep crafting!
