Still Making Cards

These papers are from Teresa Collins, the drink stamp cost me a buck at Michaels.  After I colored it in with Copics, I put Crystal Glaze on the glass parts.  The sentiment was outlined and then cut with my cricut.  


Yes, still working on cards for my Silent Auction Basket.

Not really excited about this one, I used two colors of ink to stamp and colored in with copics.  It's got a versamark stamped background and a touch of stickles in the center.

I've had this border stamp for years and this is the first time I've used it.  When it's completely closed the scallop edge rests against a solid red stripe.  Simple card.

I was scrolling through the pictures my sister took on Thanksgiving and I just cracked up when I saw how squirmy my Grandson was.  If you look at all the 2x2 pics and focus on the little guy while realizing the camera was shooting continuously...you see just how fast the little guy moves.  We were fortunate enough to have a very mild day and the little ones had been playing outside for a bit.  Dominic was all riled up and could not sit still.  This made it hard for Dad who was in the tree holding him.  
Being the scrapbooker in the family, I had to record this story.

2011 Calendar

I use a calendar called MyBook.  It has places for pictures and it has become a favorite of mine.   This year I went to Archivers to purchase one and they only had the bigger one.  My preference is for a smaller one, small enough to tuck in my purse.  Since I waited til late in the year, I just decided to make one.

The acrylic pages are 5x7, the interior pages are 4x6 and the dividing pages are 4.5x6.5.  I just grabbed one of my matting stacks that I had in my stash, bought the acrylic covers and Teresa Collins photo holders.   Don Juan is the font for 2011 and a Basicgrey rubon decorate the front cover.

Four x six index cards are used for the week at a glance and each page has the dates stamped.

The photo holders are staggered along the length of the o-wire so it's easy to see that there are more than one.   A "notes" section was also included.  Lastly, are some premade pockets, I think these are Pebbles. Wrong, these are KI Memories.  Sorry

All Boy

This layout was for a couple of challenges at Scrapbook.com hence the blue jean pocket (really paper) and to stich on a lo.   Dominic loves to try and climb the flag pole and my Dad's house and my Dad is always only to happy to oblige him.  The "boy" in the title is actually stickers.  The white mat was made with another of Marthas Punch around the Page sets - love those!  All is Don Juan Cricut Cart and the green strips were embossed with cuttlebug embossing folders.

Scrappy Calendar

So we all know that Scrapbookers are special people, and Special people need special things...Like special calendars...That multi-task!!  I got this idea from my cousin who takes a class once a year, she described it to me.

A Calendar that leaves space to put special moments/thoughts down, a place to staple or glue ticket stubs and other memorabilia with room for pictures and doodling.

Now, I've used a Day Runner for years and years so I'm in the habit if writing stuff down, but these are small and leave no place for the fun stuff.  I switched to My Calendar that has sleeves for occasional pictures but it's too small.

This is what I came up with - 8 1/2 x 11, all acid free, bound with a Zutter O-Wire.  Each month has a colored monthly calendar with stamping.  Following that is 3 pages that I've used stamping spots for journaling and monthly decorations.  I'm not posting pics of these, because I want you to use what you have, like I did.

I used my cricut to cut Don Juan letters 5" tall and then emboss them with cuttlebug dots. 

The protective plastic is from the fabric store and covers both front and back.  A rather large stash of ribbon gave me an assortment to choose from.  The ribbon really does give it that girly look.  I chose the paper from BG's Sugar Rush.

My Niece liked it so much that she wants to make one with me for her Competition Cheerleading Squad in their colors!  I think we'll be making one half this size for her.

Eye Surgery

I love the versatility of Basic Grey!  This layout was done using Stella Ruby.  The journaling reads:  The Story  Ian had to have surgery on his eye and he asked if Aunt Bev would come.  Of course I did & I took pictures to show what a trooper Ian is!

The little 7 Gypsies sticker  (Handle with care) are becoming one of my favorite little embellies!  The Tim Holtz Adage Tickets are another fast fav!

Title is done with my Gypsy/Cricut.  I just a lot of 1.3 inch letters using the font Don Juan.  Did them all in black and thought I would try to use them like Thicker letters - only I cut oodles of vowels!!!!
