If you like floral or nature images to color, I have the perfect online shop to send you to! Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley has lovely digital and stamp sets. Take a look, I'm sure you'll love them too!
Today's card uses Heart Abloom Stamp set. It's also available as a Digital Stamp. I stamped on Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock with Tuxedo Black Ink (Memento) and proceeded to color with Copic Markers. Details were added with White Uniball Pen and Black Micron Pen. The sentiment has Glossy Accents in the letters to add a touch of shine. The card came together with a green card base. I ran my colored image through my Big Shot (Sizzix) with Stitched Rectangles Die (The Stamps of Life). Then I wrapped bakers twine around my image before I adhered it the base.
Have a great day and keep crafting!

Deco Foil for a True Shine Card
A while back I posted a clearance haul I found at Hobby Lobby. Todays card features Rose Gold Deco Foil and I'm just delighted with the results!
I decided to do several background pieces with the Gel and foil so I set up a "hinge" to make things easier. First I placed two pieces of tape in an "L" shape on my surface. This was to align my card stock. Then placed my stencil on top and secured just the top of the stencil down.
My Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock was aligned with the "L" shape and secured on the side with Purple Tape then I placed my Botanical Dream Stencil (TCW) and secured at the top. More tape was placed on the stencil to mask off the unused areas. Then a thin layer of Deco Foil Transfer Gel was applied with a plastic palette knife with excess being returned to the jar. This was set aside to dry while I continued with more backgrounds. Once dry I applied Rose Gold Deco Foil and placed in a folded parchment paper and ran through my Laminator (This is the new one I just purchased -arrives today. My old one (fairly new) was recalled). It is such a beautiful thing removing the carrier sheet to reveal that amazing shine! To bring the card together, the awesomely shiny background is adhered to the Kraft card base. Seam Binding (Hug Snug) was wrapped and tied with a bow. A Tim Holtz button is attached with a glue dot after I snipped off the back sewing piece. The sentiment is from Choose Happy (SSS) and is stamped with Versafine Ink and sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder (Ranger) and melted with my Marvy Heat Tool. Now for my trusty Big Shot (Sizzix)! I ran the sentiment through with Stitched Squares and Square Die Set both from The Stamps of Life. The Kraft sentiment paper is inked with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and finally raised with Scotch Foam Tape.
Have a great day and keep crafting!

Resist the Urge to Add More!
Sometimes a card comes together so quickly....you think, what else could I add to make it better? Maybe you should ask, why should I add more? That's what I'm thinking about this card. Of course, I could continue to add more and more layers and texture but I really love this simple look. So just stop! :)
When I saw this Quilted Back Drop from Lawn Fawn, I just fell in love! When I had it in my hot little hands, I was giddy! Running with through my Big Shot (Sizzix) was oh so satisfying! I placed the die cut on a piece of deep gold colored card stock (Michaels) and loved the way it toned down that bold color. I grabbed some Smooth Gold Metallic paper and cut three Happy Stamp & Cut (Hero Arts) happy's. Multi Matt Medium was used to adhere them down securely. Here's the card..

Just Because Card
Sometimes a card with no purpose is perfect! You can choose to make it for any occasion - and that's what we have here. Today's card is made with a stamp set called Loving Tulips from Power Poppy.
First the image is stamped on Neenah Classic Crest 110lb with Tuxedo Black Ink (Memento) and colored with Copic Markers. Finishing details were added with a Signo White Gell Pen and Micron pen. Next my trusty Big Shot (Sizzix), Square Die Set and Stitched Square Dies both from The Stamps of Life, frame out my stamped and colored image. For a final 1/16 in frame, I used my Perfect Mini Layer Rulers and a PenBlade. I added this to a grey card base with Fun Foam for dimension. Some Glossy Accents were added for interest and sheer ribbon from Michaels was tied.

Fiesta with Hero Arts
Sorry to be missing this last week. It seems a wretched virus has landed in our home and with a compromised immune system, I've been hit hard.
Actually, I have had this card done for a few days and am just now getting it posted. Today's card is made with the April My Monthly Hero Kit and as of this post, it is still available. With the exception of the card stock used and my Big Shot (Sizzix) I only used the kit to create this card. Nope, that's a lie. I also used VersaFine Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. And a heat tool....boy should I just stop now....and take another nap? Yep, because I also used Tombow Markers. Here's the card
So yeah.... Have a great day and keep crafting.

Succulent Journaling Card-Cards, Yep, 2 Cards in that Title
Today's cards uses the Succulent Journaling Card Stamp Set and Matching Die Set from Neat & Tangled. Both cards uses the same supplies only in different colors. First I stamped on Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock with Tuxedo Black Ink (Memento) and colored with Copic Markers. Also used the Copic Markers to color the background and then used Copic Blending Solution with a rag to create the texture.
Next I got my trusty Big Shot (Sizzix) and Stitched Rectangle Die (The Stamps Of Life). Then I used two colors of card stock and die cut with the Succulent Journaling Card Die. What isn't shown is the center of this die outlines the flower and ribbon. I used my PenBlade and a ruler to trim the insides off, I only wanted to use both frames. I adhered the frames with Multi Matte Medium (Ranger) and placed a large acrylic block on it till dry. Finally finished with attaching to a card base with Kokuyo Adhesive and brushed some Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen over the flowers.
I hope you have a great day & keep crafting!

You Make My Heart Smile
Today's card uses a very cool background stamp called Ornate Background from (Simon Says Stamps). I got to be honest here, after coloring this card - I realize A. I don't get a lot of satisfaction coloring with Prisma Colored Pencils, B. Practice makes perfect, C. I need to watch YouTube and D. Really glad I didn't buy the 150 count set first! Copic and Tombow Markers hold a special place in my heart so next time I color a large background stamp I'll try one of those. So why did I try the colored pencils...I had to have a medical procedure called Moh's to remove Basel Cell Cancer from the top of my head. I knew it was going to be a long day (Google it for the gory details) and coloring helps me with stress, and colored pencils were easier to transport. I also took a coloring book with me. PSA: In the sun, Wear A Hat!
Back to the card, I did a lot of blending and used lots of colors and then I realized it looked very busy and I decided to add a large die called Heart Smile, diecut three with my Big Shot (Sizzix), stacked, glued with Multi Matte Medium (Ranger) and covered with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen for some shimmer. Then I used Mini Perfect Layers and a PenBlade to get that 1/16 inch border of pink. I mounted this onto my Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock with Kokuyo Long Adhesive (This is the refill, they also sell the Tape Runner).
Now for a pitiful pic of unhappy Beverly in between treatments.
Have a great day, Wear a hat in the sun, and keep crafting!
