How Awesome You Are Card

These are such strange times right now!  And, when you throw in another major life experience, like an child with an undiagnosed illness that requires a hospital stay or purchasing and closing on a new home things are bound to be more complicated!  Both have happened to family members and I'm sure it's happened to others, but isn't heart warming when you see kindness happening!  These are not my stories to tell but just a glimpse into situations that continue to arise all over.

Todays card is one to send love during these times.

First step was stamping the background with Heart to Heart with Versamark ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder and heat set.  Picked rasberry and spun sugar ink was blended then a shimmer spray was applied.  The sentiment was stamped with charcoal ink and re-stamped with Versarmark and clear embossing powder was heat set for shine.  The piece was then die cut with stitched rectangles.  Next came the bow* made with 7/8 inch organza ribbon and attached.  Foam tape adds dimension to Razzle Berry card stock and finally Valerie ice gems were added with connect glue.

* I learned how to tie these bows from www.amazingpapergrace.com tutorial.  I could not find the same online tutorial but I recommend checking out her site!

You Sparkle and Shine Card

Today's card was made using Concord & 9th Gem Turnabout Bundle.  Actually, I bought the stamp and then, later, the die and just really love how this card turned out.  Caution though, take care to not use a super juicy ink pad.  Some of the smaller images on the stamp can easily blur with a juicy pad.
Gem Turnabout Bundle

Four colors of Hero Arts ink were used:  Dusty Blue, Sapphire, Navy and Soft Granite.  All stamped with the Gem Turnabout in my Misti.   Using my Gemini Jr to die cut the Gem Dies and Stitched Rectangle from The Stamps of Life.  Versamark ink stamped the sentiment and silver embossing powder was heat set for a shiny greeting.  A stardust pen adds more sparkle to this card and finally the shiny black back ground paper was from a My Monthly Hero Card Kit.  Foam tape add dimension and Valerie Ice gems were attached with connect glue.

Have a great day and keep on crafting.

Miss You Card

Today's card is made with a die set that I've had my eye on for quite a while.  I've been a member of Spellbinders Small Die of the Month club for 6 months, and a perk is getting reduced prices for previous club kits.  The October 2018 Large Die of the Month is  Truckin Through the Seasons with accessories and the sentiment fits on the tailgate.  They have since added additional sentiments and this month's Small Die coordinates with the truck. So guess who finally brought the truck and some accessories....
Spellbinders Kit of the Month

First using Berrylicious card stock from My Favorite Things, I die cut the truck and used scraps for the rest.  My Gemini Jr made quick work of die cutting with one pass, connect glue made attaching all the pieces fast!

The Hexagon Stipple Plate from Honeybee Stamps and is backed with foam tape leaving room for the bakers twine.  As an after thought, I added a vellum piece for the window.  Miss You is also raised with foam tape.

Have a great day and keep on crafting!

Hello Friend Art Supplies Card

Todays card is for all the crafters!  I fell in love with this stamp set and decided to buy it on a Wednesday - well, let me tell you, on Wednesday Lara at Ink Road Stamps has a gift with purchase and that's how my order grew....sound familiar?  So take a visit to Ink Road Stamps on Wednesdays to get your shop on!

Holly Pixels Art Supplies Background stamp his stamped on Bristol paper and watercolored with Altenews Water Colors.  Details were added with a white gel pen, sparkle pen and glossy accents.  I backed this piece with blue card stock and attached to my card base.

That's' when I decided it needed more.  Using Concord & 9th craft dies I die cut the scissors and layered them.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Monthly Kit and is heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Both the scissors and sentiment is raised with foam tape.  I made two of these and they are going out to two special friends!

Have a great day and keep on crafting!

Hey There Cupcake Card

Hi there, today’s card is a cupcake birthday card. In my opinion you can never have too many birthday cards! This card, is made with the April My Favorite Things card kit, (which is no longer available, but the individual items are linked), two My Favorite Things paper pads and an additional die-namic that was a gift with purchase.  These are usually available for purchase in the following month.
Cupcake and Sprinkles Die-namics

This card kit came with dies and special pouches to make shaker cards. The center panel is from Party Patterns paper pad and the plaid is from Sweet Celebrations paper pad. I die cut the cupcake bottom in the included kit card stock land inked with purple ink.  After I Decided which pattern papers I was going to use I placed the cupcake shaker pouch where I wanted it to be on the card and then die cut that out of Party Patterns paper.  I assembled the shaker by adding sequins and gems that I had on in my stash, I then attached the die cut pink cupcake topper with tape. When it came time to attach the shaker pouch firmly to the card back, I added two one inch strips using Sweet Celebrations pattern paper and decided it needed just a little bit more. So I cut two very thin strips of shiny silver paper to add as accents.

Then using the Hey There Cupcake die-namic, I cut out of the included bright pink card stock from the kit. Cupcake has two additional layers of white card stock that are then glued together and topped with the pink for dimension. I did something a little different with the hey there die-namic, after running through the die cut machine the letters were still in place. I turned the scrap with letters still in place over and used a dot runner over the letters.. I then flipped it over and placed it on the card front and using a craft pick I pressed the letters down while removing the excess. This way I got perfect alignment with the letters.

Have a great day and keep on crafting!  It’s keeping me sane now!
